“I’ve stopped here twice, they have the best bagels, the second time I had more than one so I could take some home. The man making the bagel (didn’t get his name) and Melissa at check out make a great team, even with a line out the door. Super helpful, caring and Melissa makes the best iced coffee!” – Sabrina

18 Bagels Co.
18 Bagels Co. is Tampa Bay’s premier cafe where New York-style bagels are paired with everything for breakfast and lunch. On the corner of Dale Mabry and Kennedy, they came to fruition in August 2018 and took a crash course to the top of Tampa’s breakfast scene. 18 Bagels Co, as you might guess, serves eighteen different types of bagels ranging from plain to rainbow to French toast. But this name was actually a coincidence.
When Mendelsohn and Levy finalized the menu, they realized they had 18 different types of bagels they wanted. With 18 being such a symbolic number in Jewish society, they knew it had to be a sign. That’s why 18 Bagels Co became the name.

“Alex says he’s relatively new, but you’d never know. Her customer service is beyond excellent and her friendly, welcoming smile will brighten anyone’s day. This was my first time trying the egg and cheese bagel on an Asiago, which was pretty good. Last time I had the toasty French toast bagel with cream cheese and it was excellent! My partner highly recommends the lox and cheese so if you’re on the fence go for it! If you have room for dessert, you can’t go wrong with the extra-large M&M cookie or the chocolate chipper cookie. So delicious!” – Jonne J.
