After two weeks of votes from Bee readers on which Sacramento-area sandwich hubs deserved the top spot, the results are in.
In the first poll, approximately 1,460 people voted for their favorite sandwich shop and Roxi Deli & Barbeque, Corti Brothers, The Sandwich Spot, Beach Hut Deli and Dad’s Sandwiches ranked in the top 5.
These sandwich hubs were then mixed with 12 reader submissions and released in the second round.
During this process, one thing was clarified: Sacramentans are very attached to their favorite sandwich shops.
With over 2,500 votes, 1,000 since the first round, here are the top picks:
ROXIE DELI & BARBECUE
Location: 3340 C Street, Sacramento
Ranked #1 in both rounds of voting, Roxie Deli & Barbeque received nearly 700 votes in Round 2. Bee readers’ go-to sandwich restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner plus service of restoration.
He obtained 686 votes, or 27%.
BEACH HUT DELI
Pitches: Sacramento, Roseville, Elk Grove, Folsom, etc.
Taking second place in the “Best Sacramento-area sandwich spot” poll and ranking in the top five for two consecutive weeks, Beach Hut Deli offers hot and cold sandwiches, salads, nachos and more.
He obtained 603 votes, or 24%.
CORTI BROTHERS
Location: 5810 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento

Not only did Corti Brothers make the top five in both polls, but it’s the only grocery store to top the list. Corti Brothers offers sandwiches as well as cheese, fish, books, spreads and more.
He obtained 311 votes, or 12%.
POCKET CHARCUTERIE
Location: 11210 Sun Center Drive, Rancho Cordova
Added to the second round of voting, Pocket Deli ranked #4, making it the No. 1 list. The sandwich corner offers hot and cold pocket sandwiches, bowls and more.
He obtained 195 votes, or 8%.
THE SANDWICH POINT
Pitches: Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, Roseville, Elk Grove, etc.
On the first ballot, The Sandwich Spot placed #3. But this time, it placed fifth and received 5% of the vote, dropping Dad’s Sandwiches from the list. Depending on the location, choose between sandwiches, salads, sides and more.
He obtained 127 votes, or 5%.
JUNO’S KITCHEN & DELICATESSEN
Location: 3675 J Street, Sacramento
Also added from a reader submission, Juno’s Kitchen & Delicatessen ranked last on the list of best sandwiches. At Juno’s, choose between sandwiches, salads and entrees.
He obtained 110 votes, or 4%.
