The Crumbl Cookies team is on a mission. Their goal is to bring friends and family together over a box of the best cookies in the world. The Carmel store is part of a national chain started in Utah by two cousins, Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley. After a period of trial and error, they came up with the recipe for what some say is the best chocolate cookie you can find. From there, other varieties were developed. Customers never get bored with innovative flavor profiles that change weekly.
“It was important to our founders that customers see their cookies being made in real time – flour being sifted, eggs cracked and dough balled up,” says Kadee Jones, internal communications manager. “We also use the highest quality ingredients when making our cookies. Additionally, our weekly rotating niche menu is a huge differentiator for the business. Every week we offer exciting new flavors and it’s something that always excites our customers. Some of our most popular cookies include the Cornbread cookie, anything with Oreo and the Twix cookie. Chocolate Chip is also a fan favorite.
Each week, the store offers four different flavors from the previous week, but two cookies are still on the menu and available for purchase. One is the thick, chewy milk chocolate chip cookie that started it all, and it’s served hot. The second is the vanilla sugar glazed cookie topped with a scoop of buttercream frosting.
The rotating cookie collection now has up to 200 varieties. Flavors range from raspberry lemonade to Biscoff lava, and many are stuffed with toppings. In a recent week, the store offered Buckeye Brownie with a layer of peanut butter, topped with melted semi-sweet chocolate, and Cake Batter Blondie, a cookie rolled in festive sprinkles. S’mores were also included, with marshmallow creme and soft chocolate chips, and Hazelnut Churro, a cinnamon cookie stuffed with hazelnut spread.
What’s good with cookies? Milk and ice cream, of course. Crumbl Cookies sells both. Ice cream flavors include Cookie Dough Crunch, Raspberry Cheesecake, Brownie Fudge, Snickerdoodle, Peanut Butter Brittle, and Vanilla Bean. A cookie cutter is also sold to divide cookies made for sharing into four perfect portions.
There are several ways to purchase the big gourmet cookies and ice cream. The store is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Delivery is available within a 10 km radius. Customers can use the Crumbl app on smartphones for curbside pickup.
The unique pink boxes for transporting cookie purchases are available in three sizes. Customers can choose from a four-pack box for $12.63, a six-pack box for $18.76, or a party box filled with 12 cookies for $32.87. The boxes make the perfect gift, and the store offers shipping as well as catering.
“We’re proud that our cookies are served at some of life’s most festive times – weddings, graduations, or even just family dinners,” Jones says. “We look forward to being part of the community, and even more, we look forward to being part of those special times and bringing people together with our cookies.”
