Fish and chips are on the five star food hygiene list

Fish and chip shops make the latest list of those with the highest food hygiene ratings from health inspectors.

Scores are judged by Worcestershire Regulatory Services inspectors based on food handling standards, how food is stored, how food is prepared, cleanliness of facilities and pest control , food safety management and evidence that staff know about food safety.

The five-star Worcester businesses that will make the list, after further inspections, are:

Lowesmoor Fish Bar, Lowesmoor (March 10)

Little Al’s Kitchen – Cafe Viaduct, Grand Stand Road (March 11)

St Peters Fish Bar, Abbotsbury Court (March 11)

Sunflowers Out Of School Care at St Josephs RC Primary School, Chedworth Drive (March 10)

A number of businesses in the region have already scored highest in their inspections in recent years, with a full list on the Food Standards Agency’s (FSA) food.gov.uk website.
