Live Tech: Prism event management software launches agency tools

The tools follow a recent $ 8 million Series A fund and beta testing of the agency’s new software tools.

Music management software platform Prism has announced it has raised $ 8 million in a Series A funding round led by Austin-based Stephen Cook following the recent launch of Prism’s services designed to help agents booking and agencies.

With this investment, Prism has raised a total of $ 11.2 million to date, the statement said.

“I am extremely grateful for the resources required to accelerate product development,” Prism CEO Matt Ford said in the statement. “The pandemic environment means that concert halls, promoters and talent agencies have to do more with a reduced staff. I truly believe that the greatest thing we can do to help the industry is to provide a tool. equipped for this: enabling small teams to be more efficient than ever with tools to streamline, organize and improve communications. ”

Launched in 2018, Prism’s goal is to streamline and simplify the booking process and live events, reaching out to talented venues, promoters and buyers. With over 1,500 sites as customers, Prism says it has retained the vast majority of its customers and added a number of new partners looking to invest in their future.

Juan Torres, vice president of operations, added: “At the start of the pandemic, we had two choices: panic and go for something brand new, or believe that the times of covid will eventually pass, which means that now is more than ever time to stay focused. I am very grateful that we have chosen to double our vision. During the pandemic, we allowed our engineers to move forward with innovation and the product has never been so good. “

During the pandemic, Prism found an opportunity to create tools to help talent agencies with software providing an end-to-end solution and to become industry standard software.

“Providing a world-class tool for developers, sites and agencies is just the start,” Ford added in the statement. “It’s a well-known problem in the industry that communication between partners is often redundant and cumbersome. Whether it’s getting the number of tickets, figuring out who to pay for what on the night of the event or to take reservations for a tour, Prism will streamline these processes with the new resources available. ”

The announcement says the investment funds will be used to develop and launch the agency platform as well as key strategic hires. Ben Bruce (formerly Microsoft), Joe Bell in Marketing and a number of Customer Success hires have already been brought in on the engineering and product management side.

Prism’s agency platform is currently in beta and is expected to launch in the coming months.
