M48 Restrictions and Newport Concert Hall License Application

Silver Lining Event Catering Ltdof the ground floor, Llanarth Court, Off East Dock Road, Old Town Dock, Newport, has applied to Newport City Council for a premises license for the supply of live and recorded music from Sunday to Thursday from 10am to 10pm and Friday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and the sale of alcohol (on sale) Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

National Highways Ltd. is to temporarily restrict traffic on the M48 in South Gloucestershire to allow inspections and associated maintenance to be carried out safely.

Work is expected to begin on or after June 22, 2022 and be completed by February 11, 2023.

The order would have the effect of imposing a mandatory speed limit of 50mph on the M48 between the Ingst Road bridge and a point 249m west of the westbound entrance slip road to Junction 1 of the M48.

The speed limit (which would not apply to emergency service vehicles) would be clearly marked with traffic signs throughout the works.

The decree would enter into force on June 20, 2022 and would have a maximum duration of 18 months.

National Highways Ltd. is to temporarily restrict traffic on the M48 Severn Bridge as inspection work needs to be carried out.

The effect of the order would be to impose a temporary mandatory speed limit of 50mph on the M48 Severn Bridge.

CEM Days Ltdof Beaufort Road, Plasmarl, Swansea, is applying for a Goods Vehicle Driver’s License to add an operating center to keep a goods vehicle and no trailers at Days Rental, Frederick Street, Newport.

Vicky Insley has applied to Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council for planning permission for a detached garage project at 1 Caddick’s Row, Blaina. The garage has access via a lane in Gwent Terrace, Blaina.
