LOVE and marriage resulted in a national accolade for a Denbighshire venue.
The owners and staff of Tyn Dwr Hall, Llangollen, said they were “delighted” to have been awarded Best Wedding Venue of the Year (North) at the Welsh Wedding Awards 2022.
As the team enter their most popular wedding season since opening five years ago, chief executive Tracey Owen said the win was a “fantastic achievement” for everyone in the Llangollen-based venue.
She said: “We are so proud of the team here and this award is a testament to the hard work they constantly put in to provide the best experience for our couples.
“To have been recognized in a national award is a real honor and we will certainly celebrate this fantastic victory.”
The awards were presented at The Portland House in Cardiff and Tyn Dwr Hall beat out fierce competition from peers across North Wales.
The 19th-century country hall will host more than 120 weddings this year and is chosen by couples for its fairytale charm and modern renovation completed by owners Knights Construction in 2015.
With weddings able to take place on the lawn, overlooked by the historic Welsh countryside and indoors in the purpose-built garden room, it also houses 60 rooms, including glamping yurts and bridal suits, as well than an in-house catering team led by David Cox, trained in Michelin-starred kitchens.
Welsh Wedding Awards judges recognized the venue’s commitment to high standards of customer service, adaptability and compassion towards its couples and up to 150 guests at a time.
