Strong points

A big highlight of the new ship is the Aqua Theater enclosed in the AquaDome. By day it will be a tranquil oasis where guests can grab a snack or drink, while at night it will transform into a bustling venue with entertainment.

The Surfside neighborhood is a candy-colored retreat for families with young children six and under.

The Water’s Edge is an infinity pool that connects space from one side of the ship to the other. The suspended pool is adjacent to The Hideaway, an adult-oriented bar and lounge with a beach club vibe.

The Icon also features six Category 6 water slides, the first true water park at sea, according to Royal Caribbean. Waterslides are at the heart of the new Thrill Island neighborhood which also features a thrill ride called Crown’s Edge.

Finally, the Ultimate Family Townhouse includes an in-suite waterslide, cinema area, karaoke, and a private entrance to the Surfside neighborhood.

The line is planning delivery in early November 2023, with the maiden voyage departing Miami in late January 2024.
