Milan Design Week 2022 is back. The event that merges creativity and design will arrive in the Milanese capital, from June 6 to 12. And even if the Mobile Fair takes place at the Rho exhibition center from June 7, the Fuorisalone the events return throughout the city, animating the different design districts for a whole week.

Milano Design Week 2022: What and where to eat

“Anthropocena. Eating is a bit digital”: at Desco, a sensory journey

Decothe restaurant located in the center of via Bassano Porrone 8, a few steps from the Duomo, will host the ‘NABA Antropocena project. Eating is a bit digital, a reflection of the real world against the virtual world.

On June 7, a tasting opening open to the public (from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.): a sensory journey on the theme of food and digital restoration, through different historical periods, from prehistory to the future, where taste and view will interact with technology.

From June 7 to 12, the project will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In the dreamlike world of Nathalie Lété: an installation to dream

For the launch of the new limited edition of Italian sweetness, signed by Pastiglia Leone, created in collaboration with the Parisian artist Nathalie Lete, the Bottega Leone shop in Corso Magenta 96 will turn into a fairytale space where nature and colors will envelop the place, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Hybrid Restaurant, gourmet dinners at Officina Ventura 14


Paco Zanaboni and Elena Minari (creators of The smart kitchen in Piacenza, a hub that encompasses everything that revolves around the world of cooking, starting with amateur courses) will animate the Hybrid Restauranta fascinating exhibition and space for events and performances.

Events will take place at OfficinaVentura14, from June 6 to 12, where the 2022 edition of Hotel Regeneration will take place.

In addition to the gastronomic part, there will also be mixology, organized by the Alexandrian bartender Luigi Barberis.

Among the unmissable events of Milan Design Week 2022 is the exhibition that will be installed in the spaces of Vasiliki Kuzina, an address dedicated to contemporary Greek cuisine. Indeed, on the occasion of the Fuorisalonethe Chronos-a thematic exhibition will be inaugurated there. Time, therefore, understood as the evolution and flow of events: an emphasis that is linked to this year’s theme of Salone del Mobile, “Designing for our tomorrow”.

In the Tortona district, the Cocciuto food truck


With its world famous pizzas and menus, Cocciuto is a benchmark in the world of Milanese restaurants. At the restaurant, via Bergognone, in the heart of the design district par excellence, an ephemeral food truck will offer a menu of finger food and beers.

Vegan street food in the ‘Chef in Shirt Food Court’


Vegan street food will be the protagonist of via Valenza 2, at the Stroll In Milan. planted with food truck will be parked here, in the ‘Chef in Shirt Food Court’, which will tempt you with buns, kebabs, pitas and vegetable skewers for appetizers, lunches and dinners in the name of sustainability.

The food truck, at the first Italian stop, will welcome Irene VolpeMasterchef Italia finalist and expert in vegetarian cuisine, Thursday June 9 at 6:30 p.m.

From June 6 to 12, at Mudec Bistrovia Tortona 56, the first fantastic experience of Diego Cusanothe famous Italian culinary artist who enchanted Europe (with more than 300,000 instagram followers) is on stage. Organized by Capital Innova, it’s called ‘Wow effect‘ and presents 26 works that have food as their common thread: from the sponge used in the kitchen that becomes a football field, to the hands that transform food.

The event at the Mudec Bistro is the summary of a ten-year activity, with illustrations for adults on a graphic and conceptual level.

Ice cream inspired by design icons: the limited edition IC.ON by Gusto 17

The Milanese glacier Taste 17 (awarded by the Gambero Rosso Gelateria Guide 2022 and included by Forbes Italy from 100 Excellences of Made in Italy) is inspired by the creativity and lines of some of the most fascinating and famous pieces of furniture in the history of design. Here you will find the limited edition ICON: four ice cream bars, artisanal with the excellence of the territory, offered in different flavors and chocolate coatings.

#Sexualizeherbs: taste meets design at Immorale Osè


The meeting between two creators, Lorenzo Barbasetti de Prun (Prometheus_food lab) and Fabio Tallo (sound designer and musician), and the conductor Luca Zampafrom June 7 to 12, 2022, during Milan Design Weekwill produce several interludes during the dinners offered at the Restaurant Immoral Osé.

Culinary art performances contaminated by food design, sound design and interaction with the perfumes of artists will characterize the evenings, alongside four-handed dinners.

Identità Golose food courts at Salone del Mobile 2022


Not outside, but inside the Salone. Yes, during design week, the Food Courts of Golose Identity return to the exhibition spaces of the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2022: four gastronomic spaces dedicated to signature cuisine within as many pavilions, each of which will host a group of chefs.

In particular, a special food court will be located inside the “sustainability pavilion” designed by the architect Mario Cucinella.

Among the chefs who will animate the food court of the Pavilion of Sustainability, Gianni Tarabini, cook of The Presef in Mantello in the province of Sondrio (which also won the Michelin green star this year); Federico Malinverno and Vittorio Leani, cooks of Cafe La Crepa in Isola Dovarese (Cremona), with a green star to its credit and a cuisine with a strong identity; and Domingue Schingarohead of I have Camini restaurant in Borgo Egnazia, one Michelin star, which stands out for its marked orientation towards plant-based gastronomy. The sustainable proposals will also be an opportunity to fully understand a new way of conceiving the kitchen by minimizing waste, carefully choosing ingredients, from a more ethical and sustainable perspective.

Pavilions 2, 8 and 14, meanwhile, will offer visitors a gastronomic journey to discover the creations of some of the greatest Italian chefs and artisans: Carlo Cracco with Marco Pedron, pastry chef at Cracco in the Galleria; Cristina Bowermanpresents with its format designed to be delivered to Rome and Milan, Bowie by Cristina Bowerman; Andrea Ribaldone and Edoardo Traversorespectively kitchen coordinator and resident chef of Identity Golose Milano; Giovanni Ricciardella, young and talented chef Cascina Vittoria trained alongside Antonino Cannavaccioolo, Davide Oldani and Iginio Massari; Viviane Vareseboss boss of LIVEa starred restaurant within Eataly Smeraldo In Milan; Eugenio Boer, cook of Bu:r; and Federico Sgorbini, chief resident of Lino restaurant in Pavia.
