WOW hosts a 20s themed party

ALTON – Celebrate the New Year with the Roaring Twenties-themed WOW Event Center New Years Eve Party and give back to Riverbend Family Ministries (RFM).

WOW Event Center, voted the best wedding venue in Riverbend and Madison County for the third year in a row, will donate $ 50 off the $ 100 ticket price to the Wood River-based nonprofit RFM. The party starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 31 at the WOW Event Center, 515 E. 3rd St., in Alton. Tickets are available on eventbrite.com.

“Because they do so much for the community, we want to benefit ministries, and they can use the donation as they see fit,” said co-owner Barbie Brynildsen, who owns the place with her husband, Bryan Brynildsen. “We want to give back to the community because it has been so good to us.

The $ 100 ticket includes a premium open bar, appetizers, dinner, dessert, coffee bar by Germania Brew Haus, midnight champagne toast, and entertainment by Spanky Entertainment Dueling Pianos.

“Feel free to dress in your best interpretation of the 20s,” she said. “I bought my outfit online. I thought the theme would make it even more fun. Duel pianos will also take a lot of song requests.

If you’ve already planned to dine, you can still enjoy the party for $ 50 once dinner is served and vacated, with entry between 9 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Friday, December 31. The $ 50 ticket also includes the premium open bar and a champagne toast. The entire $ 50 of the ticket price will go to RFM.

Dinner will be prepared by Championship Catering Co., based in St. Louis. The loft space of the place will also be open for mingling. WOW Event Center also has space at WOW on Broadway, 630 E. Broadway.
